Methane: Friend or Foe?

When it comes to fossil fuel’s, a simple calculation shows that methane is the most climate-friendly. Pound for pound of emitted CO2, burning methane releases far more energy than burning petroleum or coal (the worst of all).

Ample supplies of methane may be buried in geologic deposits underneath the US, but extracting these gases is controversial for several reasons. Check out these articles to learn more:
